Solar Flare is an action-packed real-time strategy game that pits warring planets against each other in an epic battle for survival.
Solar Flare was in development from September 2008 to November 2009 as a junior year game project.

The game has been built from scratch using C++, without the use of middleware or pre-built game engines. The complete list of external libraries is as follows: OpenGL and CG for graphics, SOIL for image loading, LUA for scripting, FMOD for sound, and TinyXML++ for XML parsing.
